The Jaguar Land Rover Reimagine is a global strategy that’s aimed at bringing more sustainability and to become a net zero carbon business by 2039. By reimagining modern luxury, providing the best in customer service experience and helping make a positive societal impact, it’s one that has big goals to achieve.

The Future Of Electric

In the next five years, Land Rover will be introducing six electric variants to continue their reign as the world leader when it comes to SUVs. Even the name plates of Land Rovers are set to be in electric form by the end of the decade, with the first model being in 2024.

When it comes to the Land Rover, it’s all about adventure, confronting the new challenges and doing the unexpected. The three families in which the six electric variants will feature are the Range Rover, Discovery and Defender. It will provide pure electric power and 60% of Land Rover sold will be equipped with zero tailpipe powertrains.

Clean-hydrogen fuel-cell power is being developed to help keep up with the future demand that is to be expected.

Land Rover’s Use Of MLA

Land Rover will be using the Modular Longitudinal Architecture, or MLA for short. By delivering electrified internal combustion engines, with full electric variants, they are going to evolve the product line-up in the coming years. As well as that, Land Rover will also use EMA, the Electric Modular Architecture, supporting advanced electrified ICE.

The global manufacturing and assembly will be something that’s retained, repurposed and reorganised in order to help roll out this new wave of electric vehicles. JLR Reimagine is going to help streamline the structure that’s currently in place in order to deliver the best agility and efficiency when it comes to focus.

Promoting Collaboration & Expansion

In order to maximise the potential of the plan’s success, Land Rover will work and collaborate with industry leaders. Those within the wider Tata Group to help explore options when it comes to clean energy and the connected services available. As well as that, working on data and also software development leadership.

With a commitment to this project, the annual commitments of a whopping £2.5bn are going to consist of investment into electrification technologies. The development of connected services will also have money spent on it in order to improve customer experiences as well as those data-centric services that help to enhance user experience and the journey of the customer.
